I've been picking up loose figures and ships at car boots as and when I can find them at even a remotely sensible price. Says a lot about how things have changed in that in the last 3 years I've amassed 9 loose figures, a Rebel Transporter and a Snowspeeder. That's it.

Anyway, my last find was this Luke FB. He's a bit of a mess in that he has got a flattened nose and slight paint loss to his head from resting on a hot surface, I reckon. I wanted some opinions on his legs, if anyone has one to share. I'm a bit surprised he made is past quality control, as his legs are rough. As you can see, there appears to have been way too much paint. One of his foot holes is completely filled over. In particular, I wanted to know if it's usual for the bottom of his tunic to be painted? I'm sure as a kid mine was white underneath rather than coloured the same as his legs?

The paint used appears to be the standard stuff, just way too thick. Pretty darned sure it's not repainted.

I had a Bossk with two paint filled peg holes when I was a kid. Almost completely filled in. I eventually tried him on a stand and realised it was just a think film covering the holes and the hole was actually then exposed when I pierced through it.

On a similar note, in our local indoor market there is a guy who sells 'antiques' (I used the term antiques loosely). On his stall he has a box of 90's toys and action figures, all rubbish mind, priced at £1 for any 4. About 4 months ago amist all the tat i noticed he had a nice loose Biker Scout. It was just before I got back into collecting, but why I never bought him ill never know. A little thing but something I regret now.
