have you seen the increase in lego starwars playsets being stripped of the figures and being sold seperatley on ebay recently its a crying shame. i bought a lego ep3 darth vader transformation set not too long ago its missing a few pieces, but when i get them, make it display it and move it on i wont be selling the figs seperatly no matter what.

I will have to purchase the Ithorian Jedi Master separately from set 75051 as I want him to be my Hammerhead when I get the Cantina in August. Lego should have included a Hammerhead with the Cantina anyway

So sometimes has it's benefits but overall don't agree with splitting sets.

The Summer sets are already out. I grabbed the Cantina and B-Wing the other day. Both are great sets, maybe a bit pricey but lovely models. The B-Wing is quite an interesting build and far more complex that I would have thought. The Cantina is fun, with lots of playabity and detail, the Dewback is great. As you say the lack of certain figures is a shame, but Lego have to draw the line somewhere. I have added my own Wuher, which works well and i like the idea of adding others.

Also posting a picture of my latest non-SW Lego effort and MOC Breaking Bad Lab, plenty of similar examples on the web already but a fun little set non the less.

Waiting for the first images of the Slave 1 to appear now, maybe July 1st i have heard we might see them.

Yup, I found him on a search one day and he is a pretty cool custom, there is a post on RS with that custom (or a very similar one) and a Lego figure with a vintage Wally head which looks awesome IMO.

Its hard to understand why Lego have ignored him when there have been chances to release him and he has started in some Lego Star wars animations. Maybe it his bad attitude letting him down...

Yes it is quite small, but clever in it's design and nice features - overall 100% massive improvement on the previous one.

The mini fig's are great, but Lego has missed a great opportunity to add some of the Cantina Patrons, okay we got Greedo and the band members, but a few others would have been preferred to yet another Han, Luke and Ben.

I'll have to get some custom Patrons.

Not SW, but, Who you going call....?

Ghostbusting X-Men - That's who.

These two sets are great, the Ecto 1 car is great, so detailed and the figures are fantastic. The XMen set is also brilliant. The figures are great, might have been nice to get a Sabertooth or Mystique instead of another Wolverine or Magneto, but all good. The Jet is well done and even the small Sentinal works well.

Time for some custom figures i think, maybe a Professor X and a Sabertooth. Might try a Rogue and Beast as well, but their just aren't the right parts out there for them to work well.

Got an excited text from my daughter saying all the new SW sets were in our local toyshop. Thought she was going to take home the Cantina set but instead she cracked and went for Benny's spaceship spaceship spaceship

It looks great and she's delighted, looking forward to building it tonight/tomorrow :D

FAO Lego collectors

Last year a lovely chap who was a family friend who always offered to help anybody selflessly, sadly got a brain tumour and died recently. He'd had a troubled life, lived with his grandparents and was the only grand child and spoilt rotten with star wars lego (and other lego). His death was very sad but he was fundraising for the local church almost to the night he sadly lost his battle. Cancer had consumed most of his brain, and was going down his spine. He died quickly once he entered hospital. But he was never down about it, and at 19 you would never know he was so ill. Its something thats deeply shocked this very small local community here. But people are using his spirit to deal with it. He was certainly not somebody to mope or feel sorry for himself. A lovely lad called Ashley.

I've been helping the family get all his equipment sorted, unlocking and wiping hard drives of laptops tablets. Hes got Ds's galore. xboxes, etc. Endless..

But its the lego. I went into the room today and straight in front of me was a mostly assembled Lego Tantive IV, then I found a box of a star destroyer, then came minifigs, clone wars, AOTC ships, etc etc. Boxes and boxes of lego, star wars.. I found a jabba, Han Solo, and then an entire hoard of minifigs and further ships. KEpt going on. Apparently there's a shop display in the loft.. Most of the stuff has boxes, maybe not the instructions (ive found those online).

Kath, the grandmother, doesnt want somebody just walking away with a box of lego for nowt, I'm hoping she can get some money and maybe honour Ashley with the cash. I've volunteered to take on the task of helping sorting out this hoard of lego then finding buyers for it. I'm hoping some of you guys can either be buyers, or point me in the right direction.

Sad story, but I think you are going about the sorting the best way.

To get the most money you will need to build each set back to verify what is there etc. and take photos's, no different than selling vintage really. The good news is that if all those sets are complete with figures etc then there is a good chance they will sell for a good amount.

Brickset is a lego specific forum where you could try once the exercise is complete, ebay is the other obvious route but that is always fun, otherwise a few guys here buy.

Best of luck though.

Hey dude

If you don't have one then yes, it looks great and very stable on its feet. I don't think it is vastly different from the last offering but overall it is a lovely looking model and you get the spring loaded missiles, if you're into that sort of thing, <£100 is a good price as well. If you do buy it then I guess you might as well get the snow speeder to go with it, would be loanly otherwise :)

I grabbed the star destroyer the other day, never owned one before so looking forward to that build.
