I have just got back into collecting after a break and been
Thinking about setting up a few scenes from the movies and displaying
Them that way, not on a big scale do to room but thought it would
Look quite cool and didnt no if others out there do the same .
I have had a quick look through the limelight on here
But can't really see much would be interesting looking
At some set ups.
Thanks guys & girls

We do set ups at home but they do not last long as the are usually followed by an epic battle, that I never win even though I am always the 'good guys'

I love setting up my modern figures in scenes and intend to do the same when I get some more loosies in! Have a mini cantina going on at the moment (obviously the playset was meant to be displayed this way so there's nothing to earth shattering here)

and although modern (don't flame me!), I set this up last weekend and love it:

Ultimately, this is what I hope to achieve. Need to finish my loose set, then move onto the playsets to create a chonological display. As such, my challenge is to find loose bits in decent shape, at the right price of course!

If I had the space and money then I would definitely be looking to display in such a way :) maybe one day........ Good luck with the set ups, would be great to see the outcome.

The Jabba set up is awesome. I do like some of the modern stuff 8)

Been toying with the idea of making backdrops for my 'messed up' look display. Printed some off but havent got round to putting them in place yet. Means a load of messing about and the figures usually do a domino rally on me right when i get to the last one

Would love to play about photographing this scene. With the right lighting it could make a superb and moody photo.

Aha! That would explain the noise.

Get some lighting going and take a few shots. Darken it a bit round the edges, shadows etc. Be a great project that

I love that acrylic dome too! Would make it perfectly child proof too!!

Got it off eBay UK. Do search for acrylic dome. Company in England sells different sizes. Think this was 600mm or 700mm, would need to check. They made me a base to match it so the playset is well protected and keeps off the dust. IMO it makes the playset.
Mine sits on a stand about waist height that can be rotated.
