Want to buy - Palitoy 12 Back Darth Vader, Ideally AFA graded but would consider ungraded. I think it might take me a fair while to find one of these.....

TBH with being new to MOC collecting i really thought that it would be the 12 backs that were going to be the hardest to find :( Now i understand that i've entered into an almost impossible task.....I'll just have to get as many as i can. Is it just one of the ESB cards that is really really hard to find? or all 3 of them? Cheers Neil

Well if your going after the 12 bks you will get most of them in time but as many collector's will point out Luke and Chewy are very tough to find.

As for ESB Vader MOC's

30bk as Jason has already said he doesn't even have a cardback and Gary no MOC
41bk Not even sure if a MOC has been discovered
45a bk Also very tough as we've already pointed out.

Some guys on here have been searching for years and years for missing pieces for their collections and whilst I'm not trying to put you off I'm just trying to make you understanding the size of the task you are undertaking.

Thanks for putting me straight on the situation Lee  As i said i'm new to collecting MOC so don't really know which are rare cards and which are more common. I've wanted to buy a 12 back Palitoy Vader for a while as that was the first ever Star Wars figure i got as a kid on that card :p I thought after i'd got my Vader i really fancied putting together a set of 12 backs.....but after it taking a fair while to get a Vader i realised that nobody wants to part with their Palitoy 12 backs, so decided to take the easier route and get the 8 different Palitoy carded Vaders........How wrong was i :?

The ROTJ 65 back and tri logo are quite easy to get, there's a couple of them on the bay right now...

:)

There was a time, not so long ago, when you couldn't move for 12 back vaders on sale.

All the ESB ones do exist MOC, with the 45b being the most common...but that's only in comparison to the other three. Took me a while to find one.

I've seen maybe 6 45a's, have owned 3.

I know of 2 41 backs and 2 30 backs.

Comfort yourself with the knowledge that you got the 12 back. That by far is the coolest looking of the lot.

Cheers Gary  I'm looking forward to getting my hands on him.

As for the other cards i'm just going to put together what i can and then see what happens. Neil
