Would this be acceptable by any other seller???

and as you can see our own Edd was almost banned and set on fire for questioning the guys intentions. This Demartino must suck a mean dick.

Yeah as you have said, if he got say 100 pre orders & has re invested the funds, he would be looking at a good return, I can't imaging it would have gone down as smoothly if say for example you had offered a custom item up & taken pre orders on it, for several of them & then not even bothered to come by & say sorry for 3 years.

This is the book I had been looking forward to for some time as this guy is the baggie king from what I understand & the book will cover nearly everything baggie wise released, though TBH I am past waiting, as it all seems a bit of a pipe dream.

I think its disgusting, everyone has delays with things they are doing, but to take folks hard earned & not even bloody update the sales thread in a year - WTF?

I don't really know the ins and outs of the situation or what was "promised" when people sent their money off for the pre-order (rrreally pre it seems). But the idiots in this situation are the ones who have sent their money off and after 3 years with no significant news or release date looking likely not asked for their money back. Really, if the book people didn't promise to have the book ready in any particular decade and have offered money back to those who paid for a pre-order then it really is on those people to get their money back. I really have no respect or sympathy for you if you've given these people your money and further more, ket them keep it!
I certainly wouldn't stand for it and would have got my money back after 4 or 5 months of waiting. But then, i would never buy a book with any modern Star Wars toys in.

Is there some sort of benefit to be had if you don't ask for you money back (i.e. cheaper price) - if not then I honestly can't see why people don't get their moneu back - really the seller should take it upon himself to issue refunds - that way there would be no reason to question his integrity

Does it even matter after 3 years.
"If you give me £50 today i'll give you £60 in 3 years time.... how about it guys... form an orderly queue"

Yeah I think that this is taking pre-orders to the extreme. He should hold his hands up and say it's not ready, here's your money back and take pre-orders nearer the time.

The more I hear about RS the more unfriendly and snobbish it seems to be which is a shame as I'm sure there's lots of great people on there

If this is acceptable...I am gonna get in on the pre-order money train and start investing. Even if I keep good on my promise and deliver the goods in say 5 years...I am sure I will have doubled my money.

There are tons of nice guys on there...it is the older established collectors that are mostly the problem....fortunately most of them are leaving as less and less people are kissing their ass because of their vast knowledge and prestige.

I think it's acceptable as long as those he owes money to gets the first copys, with an autograph and the authors interpretation drawing of what a 7 legged spider would look like.

Beecha WaaWaa!

Its crazy wrong.

Obviously some people are so loaded they do not care if they are out $100.............If so they can begin to send funds to my paypal account.

There's only 6 months or so left until I can poke fun at Bill about the $1000 bet we have on

I don't have anything against Bill, but I don't understand why he's defending him. It's indefensible, end of story. Even if your mum, dad, brothers and children died, you could find 5 minutes to post an apology in 3 years. And apparently his excuse is nothing like the above. The guy is full of ****, and everyone waiting for it is a moron. It also makes the RS team look bad for not doing anything about it (even just banning any mention of it would be better than keeping quiet.)

last october I pre-ordered a new neo geo game called gunlord, it was meant to come out in first quarter 2012, then it was pushed back to june and then again to august, after that I asked for a refund as more than half a year after initial on sale date is just too long to wait.......the game now has a 2013 release date lol, glad i got my money back or would have been well pissed off.

At least it sounds like they had the decency to tell people Lee. As far as I'm aware nobody has even heard a whisper about the book from Todd himself for 3 years. Just the occasional update by some random guy that's not even anything to do with it (let's face it his 'final editing' is never going to happen.)

btw Edd, I just pre prdered this http://www.funstock.co.uk/neo-geo-x

on a diff note several times wen I tried to reply, it sent me to google home page.

apparently the book is supposed to be a lot more expensive than was advertised when he started taking pre orders so the people that pre orderd will still get it at the original price but i dont suppose that theres going to be much more in it than the few good reference guides that are already out which by the way even if you bought them all would still be cheaper than what its going to cost to buy this if it ever comes out

Trust me, the people that have pre-ordered will NEVER get the book, because it's never going to be printed. I would bet my car on it.

and those who bought it will continue to defend him as he is a "Respected" member of the collecting community who has not spoke to them in three years. Then again....I guess it's only money
