Ok, I've been collecting a year now so I thought I'd see how my collecting has column along. Here is the picture of my stuff in Feb 16:

and here is now:

Hmm, have I only been collecting cardboard and a pretty picture?

But this is new:

And modern Lando stuff too:

I don't know what everyone else's first year in collecting has been like, but for me it was yes I must get into this, it all looks so good, I know I'll start a focus on Klaatu, nope x-wing focus, nope die cast, nope ewoks, but finally...i think...I've focused on Lando but across all lines not just vintage. I like to see the evolution of a figure over time and have that childhood connection buzz too with a bit of vintage.

So going forward a little bit, but not a lot, of tinkering with my childhood display - I want to evolve that imperial attack base display, and picking up distinctive and different Lando pieces.

Nice display so far.

Going by playsets gives you a wide variety of diorama/scene options which will make setting it up and changing around great fun.

Welcome Phil, that's a nice little collection there mate. You're lucky to have so many of your original toys. Good stuff! By the way, there's no such thing as one Moc dude. As you'll discover, one Moc leads to another. I was never going to collect them.. got 20 odd now  Good luck with it,

Andy

Great collection!

Is the land of the jawas from your youth? Looks in very good shape. I really want one of those :)

I'm looking forward to regular updates

Great collection made even better by the fact that they are your childhood toys 8)

Thanks all for the kind comments.

Yes I was amazed at how good a condition it was when I pulled it out, particularly the cardboard. The only part missing is the orange lever that lifts the droids in and out of the sandcrawler.

Every journey starts with the first step as they say! great collection so far mate, it's a slippery slope from here on in... :D

Great collection, and wonderful to have so many of your own precious toys amongst them. You certainly are in the best place to boost your collection. I'd say half of my loose figures are from here (i mean Iain), but over 3/4 of my carded figures will be from here also (i mean Iain).

Keep it up

Couldn't have put it better myself!

It's a great collection too, I look forward to seeing it grow over time :D

Thanks all, I do indeed have a nice shipment on the way from Iain. Now I have to decide once they arrive how to arrange them :)

Mate, that's a cracking display. Love the Palitoy board game :) Great Land of Jawas playset too. I have zero memory of any playsets as a kid. My mate had a Death Star but that's all I knew even existed.
