Am just intrested to find out a few other peoples views on this subject. Are we all being silly collecting the toys we had when we where younger. Is any 1 really going to be intrested in this stuff in 20-30 years times. Will star-wars still be popular and are prices of these toys slowly going to decline over the next 20 years. Will people loose intrest? Are youger people going to get the bug of collecting toys. From a film that that came out over 20 years ago

I started collecting because I always regretted selling my original collection when I was a teenager. It's been fun finding them and learning new things but for me the collecting bug is starting to go. :(

In 20 - 30 years time I will probably have sold and rebought my collection several times over every time I got bored and felt nostalgic!!

Craig this is my second time collecting i had a large collection a quite a few years ago. Mainly loose stuff and boxed stuff all stuff basically that had been played with. I lost the bug and basically sold the lot I restarted recollecting when a good friend of mine got me restarted on collecting afa figures. I only try now to buy misb, moc and afa. I now have 64 afa graded carded figures. So am 2 thirds of the way so i may as well try and complete the collection now. What after that i dont know. But my focus keeps on going to other things. So i might take awile to complete

i just want a complete loose collection just for memories ,if the price goes up or down i dont care already lost enough taking them off cards   .
i think people will still be interested as my daughter watches them and my son WILL  dont know if this will effect the price off figures

the films have aged really well thats why kids still watch them

on another note if prices do crash sith smith will be on the streets

Well, as collecting has never been an investment, I think i'll survive.

Will i still be collecting in 20 years time? Probably, it'll take me that long to complete my collection

20 years ago, I didn't really want to collect star wars, 20 years later it's a major part of my free time.

Who's to say in 20 years it will or won't be? Sadly i'm not that strong in the force.

I'm hoping that in 20 years I'll still be into it. For now the bug has well and truly gone though :(

I think they'll be as popular as ever, if not more so. Look how many retired people collect model trains, dinky toys etc. They are just toys from their childhood.

I don't think prices will crash either, they'll just go up and down a bit. Stuff in good condition will get scarcer as well.
