Hi guys. I am very dissapointed to have to write this but I feel the RS community has a right to know about my bad experience with Klaus.
I sent a email re the Wicket Miscard and Nameplate Error MOCs in Klaus FS thread. However, its turn out another RS member had already sent a email but he refused to hold for them becuase too many people had left him down in the past. Not a good start. Meanwhile, I was unaware of all this and said I would like him to place the item on hold for me as I would be interested in a few other pieces in his collection. I would then pay for everything in one go to save postage. After a LOT of persuasion he eventually placed the item on hold for me only because we had dealt previously.

The follwing day (Friday) I then sent another email to make sure the items very reserved for me as I was aware of other interested parties - This was his reponse and I quote "Sure mate". I was then confident that the item was mine and waited for Klaus to update his thread. As I was not interested in any of the items he had listed I sat patiently waiting for more. Yesterday I was then planning to send another message to make sure they were still mine and find out when Klaus would be adding his Yoda Focus to his FS Thread as that was my main interest so I could organise a date for my payment. However, due to unforseen circumstances I was unable to access the boards.

So I log on tonight completely unaware that Klaus had no sold the item to someone else! He didnt even have the decency to warn me or inform me. The "second buyer" of mine is luckily a friend of mine so told me that he had relisted the MOCs FS and that he had brought them! I was of course fuming! So I sent a email to Klaus -

"Klaus. I am very dissapointed that is the case. I will not deal with you again and will be posting a watch out thread!. I throught I would give you second chance after our previous deal when the item too a while to arrive. Obviously I was wrong. This is very poor salesmanhip and I know of at least another 3 friends who have been dissapointed with your sale techniques. Very poor!"
This was the shocking response I recieved - "do what u want - you are just funny" Now I am sorry Klaus but I for one am not laughing!
Obviously mine is not the only case of this -http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10754
Sorry about the long winded post guys!
A very dissapointed Liam

That's bad news mate....Gutted for you, was really looking forward to see the miscard Wicket pop up on the LA thread....
RS reputation takes another hit...

Sounds like an utter ****. Not the way i do things that's for sure. Nor would i be arrogant enough to expect to get away with doing things that way. Honesty and common decency is lost on some people.
A man is worth a much as his word and this man's word is worthless.

Liam,
Mate thats a crap way to treat someone.

I've never seen any of his sales threads as I don't stray from this forum because i've heard too many bad things about RS and the other SW forums.

He's not done himself any favours there. I understand Iain has had a recent disappointment with the same guy.

Thanks for the heads up,

(edited to remove the word arsehole, as it turns out he may have made a genuine mistake)

Hi mate

Sorry to hear that - he really has done himself no favours with the way he has gone about things. I can actually say that the items that did arrive were fantastic. the packaging was a bit hap-hazard (bunching three carded figures worth £100 together) but he got away with that.

He has some nice items and I am sure that people will continue to deal with him because of that.

**** mate, it looks like it is my fault that you lost out on those items

Klaus has obviously confused our names Iain / Liam (looking back on the emails he was calling me Lian) and thought that when I said I was upset about him not letting me know what he was going to list that he thought it was you

What a mess now that we know he had you two confused. I hope he does something to make it up to you. It was again a communication failure, but he should have been tracking names and who was buying what better. Especially with such a large sale going on.

ouch and lol

Yes, I think it is a simple mistake on his part - although they were coming from two different email addresses and concerned two different sets of figures

I think that he owes you an apology Liam but reckon you should take down the watch out thread as this is a mistake rather than a deliberate attempt to screw you over

Where's Dennis??
I think Klaus still needs more explanations though, doesn't look like he understands fully what has happened in his last reply on RSs' watch out thread...

Ha! It's a conspiracy, wrapped in a plot, inside a government agenda. Or it could just be a mistake on everyones part. Damn you two being born with names that contain some of the same letters. :D
I think a watchout is a little OTT for this sort of complaint myself. But that's me.
Hope it works out for you, Liam, Iain, Lain, and anyone else involved.

Sounds like a little confusion has resulted in a **** up. Which is probably only limited consolation to Liam, but at least he knows he wasn't snubbed/****ed over.

For what it's worth, I've had one deal with Klaus a few years ago and it went smoothly. Hence my surprise when I saw this thread.

Adding to the confusion, is this the same incident?

http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1079080/

If not it's near identical! And I must admit that having read that side of the argument, I'd side with the seller.

I am pretty sure that this is nothing to do with this incident - although weirdly I have just done a deal with Roger in the last month for some items - these arrived in great time and were fantastic condition

I am also pretty sure he knew my name was Iain !
