I'm seriously looking to grab one of these and have been looking at this one..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251259773840?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Couple of questions, does the price seem a fair reflection of their current value and of course does the cape look real? :)

Thanks

Going by their feedback I would say this seller can be trusted but I couldn't comment on the authenticity or price as I'm clueless

1000+ feedback @ 99% is good.check his returns policy mind! item looks good to me :) but maybe ask for macro pictures of the cape to be emailed to you if you are unsure

The cape did look pretty good to me, if anyone has an idea on the cost, what kind of offer I should put in I'd be appreciative.

This Jawa was on earlier in the week for 399GBP so it looks like a price drop has already happened. The cape looks good to me although I don't think the marks at the bottom of the cape will come off and I would want a closer picture of the armholes just to check there are no tiny tears in them (I think they look good though).

As for the Jawa the coo is the only thing i'm wondering about. Looking at this link it looks to be different - http://web.ncf.ca/cn333/vcjawa.htm

That said though the most common one I've seen is this one (click on top left image and I'm referring to the number 1 coo) - https://www.google.com/search?q=vinyl+cape+jawa+coo&client=firefox-a&hs=WHy&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=TTZvUY6ILqjGiwKdpoD4Bg&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAQ&biw=1284&bih=933#imgrc=_

Again, I'm sure other people have said that there are 2 different coo's for the VCJ (number 2 as well I think), but you should dig around.

As for price, it's what I paid late last year for UKG 85 graded one. I think even in the last few months this price has gone up (and will probably go down again at some point), but I know someone else from here picked an AFA 85 a couple of weeks ago for around 420GBP so it might be worth the wait for a graded one unless a loose one in top condition is going for around the 300 mark.

The choice is yours and I don't want to put you off as the cape does look to be in good condition and once it's on the figure you won't notice the marks on the cape. I have a loose one with a tiny split (4mm) at the bottom of the cape. The rest of it is perfect and the split is at the back so you don't notice it at all when it's on display. They're a great figure to have but if you're thinking of only owning it for a while you might want to wait to protect your investment.

Hope that's of some use - Ian

That's a very ANGRY thread! Cant help feel there's been a misunderstanding between them somewehere, wouldn't know where to portion the blame, if any.

Thanks all for the advice, i'm going to ask for a close up of the marks on the cape, and see if i can clear up the coo.
I'm looking at the eyes on it and they seem the right size.
The figure once bought is will be a piece for my collection, not looking to offload it so i'm looking for the right item at the right price, it's such a cool figure!

Curse my hesitation, it's gone! Well i'm a lot wiser all the same and i'll have to be quicker next time!
thats the trouble with bin auctions. like pali said wait for a graded one and pay that little extra. though id prefer a loose one as i like the feel of figs in my hand
