Hi I thought I would just explain the situation with the VC Jawa.

I bought a number of items from Ian and paid in one go so wasn't exactly sure what I paid for the item.

I need to book a holiday for my daughters in the summer holidays and needed to sell one of my bigger items really due to over spending on Star Wars). I saw that one sold on here without a COA for £1250 very recently and thought that £1285 O.B.O. was about the right money. In all fairness I didn't think about the fact I bought it from here for a lower price and that would come across the wrong way although on reflection I should have done. I have bought a number of items form this forum and have never flipped any of them either on here or EBay and that isn't my intention. I just love collecting (for around the last 2 years), in paticular MOC's now.

With the Goods and Services 4% added and postage I actually paid £1055 for this item. I am happy to sell it for around that figure (although obviously would like to achieve a bit more) not only because I need to but I don't want to have a bad reputation on here as I am in for the long haul. When I look at my purchases I have never made any money from buying Star Wars. I have wanted a VC Jawa for ages and the prices seem to keep going up so I don't actually want to sell it but need to.

I have messaged Ian a few days ago after his post and explained the situation.

I hope this explains things properly. The other option is to delete this post and maybe sell a couple of other items to achieve what I need to.

Fair play to you for explaining the situation. I think it is clear that if you were a flipper you would have done it through eBay, and not on the forum where you bought the item. And the going rate is the going rate, if you inadvertently make a profit through being forced to sell as you describe then that is ok in my book.

The last thing you want to do is list it for the price you paid, which is now a discount to market value, only for it to be snapped up by a true flipper and sold on for profit!

Hi evryone.

Price reduced to £1099 for one week then he will be going on EBay:-(

Please message me if you have any questions or would like photos.

Thanks

Leigh
