Seeing as though Dart Stanley did a kind job of picking up a Palitoy Lee was looking for in a shop in Blackpool, a few others have asked to whether there are any other shops in the UK that sell Vintage ...

I for one would love to know if there is any?

So this is the thread to spread the word, whether you know of any already, or you stumble upon one on the off chance ..... please share!

Good work saber.
Let's hope loads of people add info!
I'd love to actually visit a shop with old SW figs, rigs and ships etc. I did hear of one, i think in Brighton. I'm gonna try and track it down again and post on here.

Aha! tracked it down.

In Bournemouth. I was there last year but didn't know about it or i would have visited. Looks cool.
There a Sci-fi collectors and Toy fair down there too this weekend. Could be a fun double-hit trip for someone feeling adventurous!

there was "directors cut" in Wicklow town Ireland . But no sooner i discovered it , the place went on fire . I was gutted as the part that burnt was the bit with all the sw stuff. I hope the guy that ran it didn't lose everything, man I would be gutted. But he had prettymuch everything from loose to boxed and prices were really good.
I will maybe help him out by buying all the stuuf left.
Fingers crossed he will open again

There's a vintage Toy and record shop in Reading, the guy also sells at Memorabilia etc. A bit pricey for boxed, but loose is very reasonable.

and there's a Wednesday Market in Oxford with a vintage toy stall, very little Star Wars - just a few over priced beaters

nice find

Must try and get there one day, but maybe try and knock them down on their prices a little :D

Yeah, a little steep some of it. Most stores selling SW stuff will have it over-priced i reckon.
Bournemouth is really nice too. Nice pub called the Million Postcards there.
Will deff visit at some point.

I doubt you will knock down the prices in Modellers Loft, they used to be in Caterham and the store was really good if a little pricey. The owner's a nice guy but they moved down to Bournemouth as its cheaper down there.

I only know of a store in Bromley called Time Trek which occasionally has some vintage in, other than that it pretty sparse in the South East.

Oh All the Cool Stuff in Fordingbridge often has vintage stuff.

Wow that is breathtaking! Great pics. Id like to look round that collection!!!

There is a place in Brighton that sells a few vintage Star Wars bits called Snooper's Paradise. Its off North Laine down Kensington Garadens. Worth a mooch.

Chris.

those pics are mostly Gary's collection which formed part of the Palitoy room at Celebration Europe, and all the cool stuff is Dave Tree's store (based on the facebook pics) - he's on here too, and does most of the shows

I used to pick up loose figs there betore the days of the internet - the name sums it up really well :)

Lol. I thought I recognised some of those bits. Wish id seen it all displayed together. Looks like a museum gallery.

As for snoopers paradise its worth a visit it your in Brighton. I wouldn't necessarily bust a ball to get there as there is nt masses plus you can generally pick things up cheaper on ebay

modellersloft

snoopers paradise

if your in london
theres a bloke in camden market with a toy stall but with a lot of overpriced figures, last time i went he had a carded boba that was £400.

orbital comic shop near covent garden always has a few figures.

theres a retro shop in notting hill that always has figures in the window mostly han hoths an dengars also opposite that is mimi fifis that have loads of overpriced figures £30 for a loose complete ig88.

most of these places make there money thanks to the tourists.

Andy, does Dave only sell vintage at the shows?

I only ask as i've seen pics of Dave,Gary & Lee's stall at memorabilia & he has a lot of nice vintage stuff but when i looked at his ebay store, the only SW he has listed is the modern stuff.

Mark, he has a right mix and also sells his tees and hats etc. I think his main source of income is modern and not just star wars (but I could be wrong), some of the stuff on his stall are Gary's spares. If I was a dealer I'd save my vintage for shows as you get a lot more money for it than on ebay - maybe he does the same.

Perhaps Dave can chime in, but he's not been on here in a while

Snooper's Paradise used to be good - Beware, it now all fake weapons and recards! And it's not cheap.

£8 for a loose B-Wing Pilot and fake weapons... no thanks.
