OK so I'm now looking after my 10 month old daughter, son and step daughter during the day (and some evenings) as my wife has returned to work after maternity leave

So I was feeding Lara and decided to flick through afternoon TV and found BBC 2 showing an old episode of that crappy cop drama Cagney and Lacey. I noticed it was Xmas and they were in a department store.

I then spotted GI Joe in the background and then Carded ESB figures! :D

After much pausing and rewinding I spotted Luke Hoth, Cloud card Pilot and R2 periscope

I was really excited :D - a bit sad I suppose

Baby was then fed... :p

My other half spotted Cagney and Lacey in the TV guide today and started humming the theme tune... I had my fingers crossed that she would use her TV dominance to flick over to it, luckily she didn't...

Now that might have been unluckily

I probably would have got excited seeing some unexpected vintage goodness on the box. 8)

I was wondering if anyone else saw it - I didnt think so though given the time of day and the program

That's a pity you missed it Junior - it was near the start so you wouldn't have had to endure the rest of the show :)

It was great to see them on their hangers and for sale :D - I think it was a real store it was filmed in

Well spotted Chaz,

from what I can tell there's a Luke Hoth, R2 Sensorscope and a Black Bespin Guard. Cant make out the one top left.

Here's some screen shots and a link to the episode, cool seeing all the other toys from the day there too.

Good to see Sensei Kreese managed to get another job after Mr Miyagi kicked his arse!

Nice one Ryan :D

I never thought of looking for it

The top left one can be seen briefly when they are looking at the mini TV (mini its massive  )

I think its the Cloud car pilot - we can add this show to vintage SW on TV finds ! :D

I remember one episode of Only Fools and Horses, its christmas and Damien trotter is sat playing with a vintage rancor. That was a few years back now, haven't seen anymore vintage on tv since then!

I've seen them on other shows but never in a shop carded and ready for sale.

I always look out for such things in the background of old TV shows such as Minder etc etc (SW or Non SW)

What a blast from the past

But crappy cop show? I've always liked Cagney and Lacey, and I for one cannot wait to be back working the early shift next week so that I can settle on the sofa at 4:15pm and indulge in a spot of nostalgic ballsy crime fighting.

Yeah, okay Andy... I'll let you off

Maybe it's the chilly weather, perhaps it's getting stuff together for the Secret Santa; but I'm in a Christmas mood already... I'll look forward to watching this episode on the iPlayer tonight. There'll be plenty of pausing and rewinding when it cuts to the department store :D

Pete was doing a great job in logging these 'spots' on a thread ages ago. Can't find it now though
