Vintage Dreaming?

On several occasions yes, I think that is the result of too much time spent thinking about them during the day!
I had a very vivid dream once about travelling to the earth toy mall in the USA with a collector friend and raiding the shelves for rarities, in that dream I even invented my own product..it was so "real" I wrote it down the next morning in a word document look..
No idea why I invented an 82back card with a Palitoy logo but I think I can see why I invented a Quality control 8D8 sample :lol:
I told my friend about it, the one who appeared in the dream and I think he thought I was as weird as ****! :?

LOL and i think Kristy wright was in the mix too, probably had a finger somewhere (she played maiden Moteé)

I've never dreamt about figures, but when I first got into collecting in the 90s I used to have a recurring dream where I'd find a stash of vintage vehicles and playsets in the toy aisle of a super market. The toys were all invented by my brain though - there was a massive star destroyer and a Jabba's palace playset that was huge, the box must have been three feet square. But when I tried to pick them up they were too big to carry and I'd spend the rest of the dream trying to struggle each one to the checkout. I don't think I ever did manage to buy any of them :lol:

I have a recurring dream where I find a hidden spiral staircase in my house and it leads to a room full of mint boxed vintage Star Wars and a wall of vintage MOCs.
Then I wake up and cry my heart out.

I've had a recurring dream about going on holiday to Scotland and finding a newsagent that time forgot and in a cobwebby corner there is a display full of Palitoy 12 backs.
Not going to Scotland on the off-chance it ever happens tho :lol:

Had a dream that I was in my car driving down my local high street, stopping at the mini roundabout, where on the left is a charity shop and casually glancing at their window display only to see they have a trilogo Jawa in the window!!
Panic sets in!! hastily try and park the car, run to charity shop, stop to draw breath and try to act normal whilst in the shop to show I'm not desperate to pick up the figure in case they have second thoughts on selling it. Ask shop assistant if she can get figure from window, ask how much, she says £10 and states it is that much as it is nearly 30 years old and if to justify the price!! I pretend to um and ahh about it before saying casually yeah I'll take it
On day I hope this comes true :wink:

You know there is an old iron mongers that is just like the newsagents you mentioned (and its in scotland where I live) its full to the brim with old stock (lamps pots and pans ect - I havn't been there in for about 5 years or so though - but I do remember he had a few old toys kicking about - an old matchbox car in its 80s box if I remember right - Only just thought about it (and its a long shot) just maybe he has some old star wars stock!
