I watched two hours of the original tv commercials today. I was surprised at how often they referred to 'the revenge of the jedi.

Yeah, the change was very late in the day. Its nuts the amount of stuff out there you can find that printed up as Revenge. Guess this is just good old George changing his mind at the last minute

I heard that employee of his at the time pointed out that revenge, isnt a jedi trait, so changed it a couple of weeks before the film was released. I've not seen any merchandise branded 'revenge of the jedi', is there much about?

There is a lot of Kenner stuff, both proof and transition stickers. There are also lots of posters and patches. You can get a patch for 10 bucks. I imagine with communication being what it was back then and production times being longer a load of stuff was already produced by the time the orders to change came down.

The new vintage style stuff from Hasbro actually has the Revenge logo on some of the figures they reissue

Oh god yeah. As for the new stuff they have them in TRU at the momeny, my wife got me Admiral Akbar for Xmas
