May as well stay local to start with :)

Dont overthink it and read too much into variants its mindfuck especially mold familys, paint schemes. Different sculpting. Some figures will be run of the mill. Identify the major variants and take it from there.

Best way is to sort every thing out, take some photos (front and back) then either post here with specific questions or the FB SW variant group. I am sure you will get all the answers you need.

i have looked over your photo's in the valuation thread.

Nothing is jumping out at me as a 100% variant, or anything more sought after than standard kenner figures. As someone said, you may have a spanish produced luke bespin figure, but you'd have to photograph the coo to confirm.

It depends on YOUR classification of a variant, to some its COO collecting where there are lots of variations in each figure, and to others its classed more as major variants, e.g. vinyl cape jawa vs cloth, red bar R5d4, light/mid/dark green walrusman etc etc

I have a thread shown below in my signature in orange which shows what I consider to be a variant within some figures...

Best, Neil

cheers guys is a bt of a mind twisting route that im not sure i should venture down :))

Think a few are variant from the guide i looked at... But does that mean they are actually worth more?

You defo have a dark green no coo scar walrusman for example, and incomplete he's maybe worth £10-£15 in decent condition. Of course some variants are worth considerably more than others, The price of which is generally determined by a combo of rarity and condition, however some people, mainly variant collectors will sometimes pay 'over the odds' for some pieces if they are a strong 'need' for that person. Some people see this top price achieved and assume thats market value, but in reality it perhaps achieved a high price because 1 or 2 people 'needed' it the most.

If you did decide to move into variant collecting, I would always advise people to move towards collecting 'major variants' first, that is to say collect obvious colour/sculpt/accessory differences between the same figure, before even considering broadening it to figures individual COO's, As it is very much an acquired taste that requires focus.

Best

Cheers guys great knowlesge .... It may be time to focus on moc then look at variant if still needing
