Trilogo Lukes

For what it's worth I've bought all 7 in the last 12 months, and paid as follows (including postage/fees etc)

Luke Farmboy: £265
Luke X-Wing: £100
Luke Bespin: £364.50
Luke Hoth: £300
Luke Jedi: £100
Luke Poncho: £110
Luke Stormtrooper: £305

Like Joe I tend to be a bargain hunter and very rarely pay 'market value' for anything, but as others have said patience is the key, especially right now where everything is in short supply, even bloody loose figures let alone MOCs! Here they are to show you the condition:

Joe is also absolutely right, the best place by far for bargains is still eBay. You have to put in the hours and have some luck, but badly listed items or simply lack of other bidders will enable you to get good deals in time. Forums and Vectis are great, but you'll rarely find a bargain.

I wish I'd seen that $599 Luke Farmboy, have been looking for a blonde one all year :(

Stunning! They look great and also all for good prices.

..and Edd's collection is all the proof you need :) Might take a bit longer to pick certain figures up but your wallet will thank you in the long run :D

Edd amazing pick ups. That's a quality line up.

I do think that it helps that you and Joe are SW vintage legends and have some amazing connections. I've been looking for ages but don't think I'm as well connected as you both. I do spend hours and hours on ebays but always seem to one step behind. Fair play to you.

I did get amanaman tri for 170 on a mislist, my best price score I think. I will keep waiting and hunting, will make it all the more the worthwhile when i finally get them.

It's not where I've come from it's where I'm going...

It's true that connections help, but I only had help with one of the Luke's (thanks to Joe!)

One came from Vectis, one was from a trade thread on this forum, and I think the rest were either eBay or forum sales. So you really need to have eyes everywhere, and luck plays a big part. Good luck on your hunt :)

Just out of interest, is there any difference between blonde/brown hair variants? I'm specifically after the Tri blonde version.

I used to see a fairly even split, but recently it seems everyone is after the blonde one. Which is strange as the blonde figure is certainly more common loose.

Ok, well I'm not desperate to get one so will just wait until I can find one for a good price

Bringing this back up from the depths...

I've not been looking very hard for these yet, but have started a bit more seriously now.

Do bland/brown hair command different prices (especially on Luke Bespin)? And how do PBP/Meccano/normal(?) figure variants affect things? I'm really not up to speed at all on the hundreds of loose variants, so am a bit lost as to which is sought after (or not) on card. I'm only after a fairly standard run and won't be looking for any rare variants!
