I just remembered a 'problem' I had with one of my childhood toys, so thought I'd see if anybody else has similar stories.

Mine wasn't Star Wars, but a MASK toy. It was 'Condor', the bike that turns in to a helicopter. I remember being sorely disappointed because I thought the one we'd bought didn't have the propeller blades in the box, so for a good year or two we used to play with it without any blades.

It was only when I looked up MASK toys years later that I saw the blades were clipped down on the side of the shaft and opened out, so they must have been there the whole time on my one. Being 7 or 8 when I got it, I obviously wasn't going to read the instructions

Bloody hell mate, that's bad........Transformers must have been a total mind **** for your 7 yr old self....."I've got the car, but where's the robot"
Only kidding....but really!
I suppose the only thing I can think of was as a kid being totally confused about was the funny hooks/clips under the main hood of the falcon, wasn't until many, many years later I realised they were for holding the secret floor in place when not using it

That is exactly what I was going to post...

Can't recall anything from when I was a kid but my son got a modern transformers bumblebee and you needed a degree in engineering to transform the bloody thing, that or I'm just useless as I couldn't do it  had to wait for JrChubb to come round before he could transform back

for my 6th birthday somebody bought me a zoids dinosaur, it looked like a complete nightmare to put together and it took my dad and brother a few hours to finish for me.

the following christmas i got given a zoids teradactyl and i can remember my dad saying 'oh this again!'

Yeah loved the zoids :D my brother and I use to have death matches by walking them into each other until the last one standing, bits would come flying off and they would be in pieces afterwards but good old Jr would fix them back together for the next round :)

Sort of. I mean I had this Action Force vehicle:

And for the life of me I thought there was some way the figures could go into the back of it - I mean why would there be lots of dead space?

my older cousins would play this game where you had to build a fort using those pink muscle figures and playing cards, then each team would take turns in fireing these red rocket ball things at each others fort, ive never seen those red rocket things since, i would love to get some or work out where they were from????

they were red, saucer shaped about the size of your thumb with a stick coming out of the middle about an inch long which clicked into its launcher (i cant even remember what the launcher looked like) does this ring any bells at all????

One of the greatest games ever made by the sounds of it...
CROSSBOWS AND CATAPULTS
There were rules to it, but when I played me and my mates would just fire projectiles across the room at each others me and bases :D
Good Times were had playing that game, I still am on the lookout for a complete and reasonably priced set.

I've said it before and I'll say it again a bloody brilliant game :) Got 3 vintage sets and a load of the modern stuff tucked away in the cupboard :D
