Prune Face:

Udklip.JPG

not one of my favorite figures, but I think kenner did a fantastic job with the Prune Face figure (y) but still strange that they made this totally unknown character that we only see in a few sec. and they could not make a Y-Wing pilot and a rebel fleet trooper

Love this figure, probably because I have strong memories of getting him back in the day. Staring at his card/figure and trying to decide if he was a goodie or a baddie 😀

Oh wow i never knew this guy was a rebel until i read your post! I had this guy hanging out in jabbas palace as a kid🤣 Oops! I thought he was some bad ass bounty hunter!

Think i have this moc and a loose example, will post later

/edit heres my moc, i'll dig the loose one out in a bit😀

Yeah my feelings are similar Lars, other choices would have made more sense for figures that Kenner could have released. Not a major fan but I do like his cape/cloak 😁 (y)

A terrific example! Thanks for sharing yours :)

Here's my Prunes................

Loose is my childhood figure (although I did have to find him robes and weapon as they were long gone) / ESB-a baggie / 77 back MOC with a lovely yellow bubble 😁 .

What a great collection of prunes! :) Nice to see a baggie version as well as your terrific MOC and a fine loose. Thanks for sharing

Jeremy.

Not a great figure, he also displays crap in a bubble on a card as the cape covers all the figure up!
I've never seen him in the film, although I've looked many times.
None the less, here's my Tri Logo example.

A lovely card and bubble! Thanks for sharing.

As for his starring role in Return of the Jedi, he IS in there (just about), but if you blink you'll miss him :)

Jeremy

How many do you need for the run now?
well... there`s 4 for the L17 and I`ve been told if we have 2 more, we have all the figures only available on Tri Logos. My wife has been told this from a
Card back collector on facebook, so as it seems we have most I can cope with that.
Prune Face, Nien Numb are two missing. And possibly an upgrade on Nikito if i`m being fussy.

When I was a kid I thought Walrusman was not a star wars figure just a wrong figure on a star wars cardback, to me he did not look like walrusman in the movie :ROFLMAO:

nice moc you have there, thanks for sharing it (y)

That is some cool items you have there. Your childhood figure, a baggie and also a moc. Thanks for sharing them

Cool tri-logo you have there, thanks for sharing it. Well now you know where to look the scene on the mon calamari cruiser ;)

OK, here are my Prune Face figures. It's not my favourite to be sure, however there are still some interesting variants to be had with him.

The excellent Variant Villain website has not yet updated the Prune Face entries fully, either for the figure, cloak or rifle. However, the rifle V numbers below are obtained from The Imperial Gunnery, and modified by the fact that I own a carded Kenner 77a Prune Face. The figure on that MOC has a gate scar on top of his head, and therefore (as per VV), is a Kader figure. Because of that, the rifle and cloak that my MOC comes with (a V1 rifle as per TIG, and a cloak with a short front seam), must therefore in all likelihood also be Kader. That in turn makes the V2 rifle and the long seam cloak both Smile, since only Kader and Smile made the Prune Face figure (the Lili Ledy figure being derived from the Kader moulds, if the limited info on VV is accurate, which I don't doubt it is).

From left to right below, I have:

Smile I, L1d, R1c figure with V2 Smile lighter brown rifle and long seam cloak. The figure has light green legs, dark boots, a paler head and beige hands, and a slightly lighter cloak.

Kader II, L1b, R1b figure with V1 Kader darker brown rifle and short seam cloak. The figure has darker green legs, lighter boots, a pinkish head and hands, and a slightly darker cloak.

Lili Ledy figure with Lili Ledy even darker reddish brown rifle and short seam cloak. The figure has even darker green legs, very dark green glossy boots, a darker pinkish head, pink hands, and a thicker darker cloak that almost feels like felt. This Lili Ledy cloak is the lighter version; a second darker LL version is also available, but I do not own an example.

Lastly, my Kenner 77A MOC:

Thanks for sharing your amazing collection of a moc and 3 cool variants. I love all the info about them (y)
