Touched up or not touched up? That is the question.

The blue paint app on my solid R2 dome is odd. If it has been touched up its the worst ever as there is too much in some areas and too little in others. Where they hand painted in the factory or is this a clear touch up. I don't have another to compare it too, but the blue colour appears pretty close and the rest of the figure is hardly played with seems odd that the blue would be only part worn away.

one of my solid r2's is exactly the same in fact i thought it was mine at first  the blue paint is over the side of the rectangles on mine also mine has blue spots on the chrome like paint splatter.

The colour look right which makes me think it's original, either that or someone has taken time to mix that shade which I reckon would be quite hard to do.

It's a cracking figure, but only recently gave a good checking over as I'm selling my loose collection. When I compared it to my R2 sensor which has perfect blue paint, alarm bells started to ring. Am chuffed that it now appears to just be poorly applied but most importantly still original. :D

This one is a bit messy:-
