I think i remember seeing on this forum once that someone said not all vintage weapons will float..is that right, or did i misunderstand..
That being the case, does anyone know if Artoos pop up saber (1st version of course) and Chirpas chief stick float or not..

thanks in advance

Robert

I see a lot of sales where the weapon is described as 'passes float test'. This is not fool proof. I have weapons I suspect to be reproduction that pass this test and the drop test. Luckily for you guys I'm not an unscrupulous seller ...or a seller at all ;-)

Artoos pop up saber sinks and Chirpas chief stick floats.

If I remember correct some repro Artoos pop up saber floats and others sink

repro Chirpas chief stick sinks, never seen a repro floats.

Remember to push the weapon down under the water

Yeah the float test is still never 100% proof sometimes good to use comparison images to check aswell...... although repos are getting and closer to the originals each year.

Yeah the float test can be a bit dangerous if not fully versed in all the intricacies, yet it is quoted as the goto answer for all weapons. I dread to think the number of real deal weapons that have been disposed of or destroyed because they sank.... when they were actually meant to.
Its what I love about this place... A little education goes a long way!
