Maybe a little late to the party here, and I have been out of the loop a little on the Star Wars updates but what is the general consensus on the best adaptation on the OT?
I have recently managed to obtain 4K77 and 4K83 and wow seriously it was like watching the moves again from the 80s on Betamax from a memory perspective with Star Wars actually being Star Wars and none of the special edition alterations/additions. Although not the best of the OT, but my favourite Jedi was amazing and exactly how I remember it, Sarlac Pit being a pit not a monster thing, but more importantly no "NO!!!!" when Vader grabs the Emperor, oh and the original Ewok music at the end - lovely.
4K83 however is a little rough and I think for this the current 4K special edition is best as ESB arguably improves with the special edition with the Cloud City improvements etc.
