Ok, so there are many ways to sell a book (apparently). I am going for the 'Buy my book now or I set the 501st on you' approach – Let me know how I'm doing.
In all seriousness, since 2010 I have been writing a series of adventure books aimed at 7-12 year olds (insert any jokes about my own mental age here) collectively called The Hamington Chronicles. And finally after several months of editorial work the first of these: "Olivia and the Family Secret: The Hamington Chronicles Volume 1" is finished and I am proud to say, available to download via the Amazon Kindle Programme. The book is available in all Amazon territories and will set you back the princely sum of £0.75/$0.99.

In writing these book I have attempted to create a universe full of characters that evolve and go on as much of a journey as the reader themselves, something I feel is sadly lacking in literature for this age group. But fear not, there is plenty in here for the avid geek and SW fan.
The first volume alone is littered with Star Wars reverences (I would offer a prize for the first person to find them all, but that would imply I have something to give away). And as a taster, in later volumes there are references both direct and indirect to a wide range of other work including, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, Indiana Jones, Treasure Island, Red Dwarf, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, many, many William Shakespeare references and tones more SW nods, as well as a healthy dose of Norse mythology and a little Roman history.
My hope is to get the second volume ready for later in the year but for now please check out this first book, download it, read it to your kids (better yet get your kids to read it to themselves), check out the myfacethingymabob page and 'like' it and tell everyone you know and meet to do the same, even that strange chap on the bus who hasn't showered in a month and probably has a very different definition of download to the rest of us.
