Sympathy for our American cousins

Did anybody watch his acceptance speech? It was surprisingly humble so credit is due for that, however as many other have pointed out all he says is great and better over and over again, there is no substance to anything he ever says. Better schools, great jobs, bigger economy - how? It's going to be an interesting four years that's for sure!

I've heard his speech, sounds like a man who has no idea what he's doing and is already thinking how can I win another election.

Remember this is a man who thinks climate change is a hoax.

I've said it many times recently, democracy is failing because where there's too much information, too much bullshit, nobody can make an informed decision.

In this election all I have heard is *****, emails, Mexicans, muslims. All utter bollox and on the surface I have no idea what either were standing for.

Shambles, but still a surprise.

As Winston Churchill famously said:

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter

Brexit, Trump, he's on to something.

I'm no fan of Trump but I'm no fan of Clinton either; either one or both of them could find themselves behind bars within the next 6 months (Trump's done a great job of keeping that allegation of child rape under the radar). The only positive I can find from this result is Trump is much less likely to take the US to war against Russia over Syria.

I agree that he looks like he hasn't got a clue what he's going to do, and I suspect he's as surprised as anyone that he got elected. It's almost like he was deliberately put up as a stooge to make things easier for Clinton...

If you're waking up today in the US and you're not a white, male, rich, mysoginistic, gun-toting... oh sod it. If you're waking up today in the US and you're not Donald Trump you should be very nervous.

A Churchill right back at you, "Democracy is the worst form of Government, apart from all the others."

I stand by my crayons comment.

And I agree, it is going to be a very interest few years.

I like this view its pretty true in my eyes. The public are fed that much lies and bullshit every day it's unbelievable. How can any sane person make a decision on what they are voting for.
I was in a small shop today and the lady was asking me about this wall he's building. She was wondering how people will get in and out.

Maybe now our American cousins will worry about their own political decisions instead of ours.

its hard to have sympathy , they chose to elect him

mind you if i had to choose between trumpy pumpy or crooked hillary , id probably just shoot myself
