Hi guys,

I just recently bought this item and I just want to make sure that I didn't pay too much really?!

Not sure if you can see from the pic but the elephant is in the middle, have these ever been produced like this, because I bought it as New in Box and it looks as though it has been opened and then re-sealed, the other tell tale sign is the extra sellotape... I am a bit annoyed if this is the case as it was bought as a new unused item!!

Could you guys give me a price on this even if it was opened and then the figures returned wrongly?

I think that the elephant (Max Rebo) is definately in the wrong place and this would suggest that the box has been opened - have you got a picture of the seal ?

Hi Iain,

Yeah, just after I posted this up I took a long hard look at it... There's been extra sellotape added and I can now see that the card they are supposed to be attached to has been carved open from the other side with a Stanley knife or similar, you can see the cut under Max Rebo's left leg!

Cannot believe some people! I have sent him a strongly worded message! Just have to wait and see what he says.

Any thoughts on a price for this if loose but mint?

Hi mate,

He had resealed it with sellotape, I didn't want to open that again until I had some sort of result!

The guy was in the states so it would've cost me £10 minimum to send it back and even though he offered a full refund I'd be out of pocket and have nothing to show for it!

He told me he had opened it as a kid and then put it back again in the end and gave me £12.50 refund so I am in for £40 and a bit pissed off really, but what can I do? The figures have been opened with a knife but the instruments remain sealed... I will keep them as MINT figures as they really are SUPERB!!

So not all bad, may sell the box at the weekend?

Also mate, I have a load of those figures listed on evilbay, check them out if you want? If you fancy making an offer for all 55 I can take them off.

If i were you i would open it and take some nice pictures of the figures with their accessories and then sell it as a mint loose set with the box.
Should get your 40 back easily.

I was thinking that... I have opened it and now I am debating creating a MINT loose collection, I already have the Yak Face and some of the other rarer ones going on display soon.

They really are superb quality, not sure I can part with the elephant, he is one of my favourites!

But yeah, it's an awesome set. The Rebo Band is one of my favourite SW items.
So you have Yak Face and the band how about putting together the entire Jabba's palace set of figures!?

I know he's not an elephant, I meant Max Rebo A.K.A Ortolan Siiruulian Phantele. Very tired tonight.

I have started collecting but need to really focus on my ROTJ carded ones first really, took a break for a bit as there was nothing good out there really and got side tracked by buying bulk collections and keeping the good stuff!
