SW Tri-Logos and Meccano questions

Hey guys,

I've been looking around and can only seem to ever find ESB and ROTJ figures on Tri-Logo cards. Did they never release the SW figures on tri-logo cards? Or were they just released on Meccano cards in France?

And that also brings me to ask; why is the Meccano carded Jawa the ONLY one I have ever seen? I have never seen the others on Meccano cards, just the Jawa, so I'm curious as to why.

Did Trilogo figures ever have the weapons taped inside the bubbles, or were they always loose inside?

Definitely no tape! Figures and weapons were thrown in the bubbles rather quickly, can only imagine how many figures the factories had to turn out each day!

You can sometimes find figures with the guns in the hands like on Kenner cards but definitely not something you see often.

Vader, Luke Farmboy, Leia, Sand Person, Jawa, Death Star Droid, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, R5-D4, Obi Wan, Chewbacca, Han Solo and Luke X-Wing were all released on regular trilogo cards.

The rest were either only released on hybrids or not at all (Power Droid, R2 & C3P0)

The SW characters are harder to come by on trilogo but the likes of Vader, Chewie, Stormtrooper, R5-D4, Obi Wan and Luke X-Wing are often around on ebay or the forums. Jawa, Fett, Leia, Luke and DSD will be the most expensive (in that order.)

because they were only sold in France - the equivalent of Palitoy cards here. There are tons of Jawas and quite a few Bens floating around, but the other figures are very rare.

The Kenner cards were sold almost everywhere, but the SW and ESB cards were the only choice in America so they tend to exist in their thousands - a lot bigger market

Yeah a guy just sold a couple of the card-backs for over a hundred quid. Like Spoons says, apart from the Jawa and Ben they are VERY rare.

And the Jawa and Ben are only easy to get because many boxes of both have been found. You have to remember that a large amount of what circulates on the collector market is unsold shop stock, which ia why you can see dozens of a certain figure for next to nothing but then find it impossible to find a different figure on the same 'common' cardback. The mega rare/expensive stuff is generally pieces that have never been found in bulk and are from genuine old collections.
