till i complete the lot i keep my loose figs in them little plastic bags in a card board box.is this a safe way to store em as i sure 2 or 3 have discoloured

I have mine stored the same way (room temp) if there not in direct light i cant see them discolouring! How Long have they been stored? Ive heard people say its not the best way to store them! My thoughts are just to change the bags for fresh ones every now and then! I am sure one of the vets can weigh in with there thoughts/opinions

I have heard that keeping them wrapped in non-pigmented paper (news paper style before the ink goes on) is better, allows the plastic to 'breath'. My figures are on display, but I guess a time will come at some point when they have to get stored and I think I will try to keep them out of plastic. However you can see that most carded figures (in plastic bubbles) stay pretty nice out of sunlight, so I don't know.

I keep my spares stored in a set of steel draws lined with acid free and bufferless tissue paper. Much better than plastic baggies which can react with the plastic in your figures. It also allows them to breath which is important.

I'm planning to put a large set part of collection into storage soon. My intention is to wrap each figure in the acid free bufferless tissue paper and then put into small individual white cardbaoard boxes.

I display my collection in wall mounted acrylic display cases with removable fronts. It keeps out dust and dirt and also protects against UV light, but i can still easily access the figures when i want to. Try to avoid rooms with direct sunlight. A windowless room is ideal otherwise you can buy UV filter screen for your windows although its expensive.
