I remember seeing this a while ago. Its always good when VSW pops up on TV. If I remember right its Brandiand Jerrod win the lot, amazingly they underprice some of the Star Wars when 'flipping through it'. Its the other stuff (Spidey I think) who brings in the big bucks...

I hate Jarrod. Brandy should be my wife. I'd love to rifle through her storage unit.

Unfortunately it is a trend in 'reality TV' atm, I don't think its as bad as Operation Repo or Hardcore Pawn etc but it does happen.

Off course they have to plant some awesome stuff in there, nobody would watch the show if they would buy storage lockers, to find nothing but crap and junk week after week.....
But the cool thing that it somehow sparks hope in finding a treasure hidden like that yourself one day....

Auction Hunters is the worst. LIterally every single thing in every locker they buy is put there by producers. It's ****ing laughable. They find an antique gun in EVERY locker! :lol:
Storage Wars is not as bad. They do very little "stacking" from what i understand but where they got found out is when Dave Hester sued them. His claim was the producers were giving the smaller players money (Jarrod, Brandy and Barry) so that they could compete against the likes of Dave and Darrel. Dave saw this as both immoral, unfair and potentially damaging to his business and reputation.
The Storage Wars producers didn't deny Dave's claims. They simply said they are allowed to manipulate the show in any way they seem fit as it's technically a fictional entertainment show. The courts agreed and Dave won nothing and was fired.
The show has been terrible ever since. As much of a dick as Dave Hester was he was one of the main strengths of the show and one of the few taking it seriously. More fool him i guess.

What made Dave more of a dick than his "YUUUUUUUUUUP" and up-bidding was thinking he could make a profit on a unit after bringing two lorries and six employees with him. Well done mate you made $1000 on your unit but it cost you $1,500 to bring your team and two lorries along for the ride :lol: :lol: Thats why he went out of business.
The show has def' gone downhill without Dave, thanks for letting me know Auction Hunters is one to skip :wink:
Woah, did you guys know Mark Balelo from Storage Wars was dead?! Killed himself earlier this year. Never liked him in the show but that's awful.
