Hey guys,

I know, not vintage, but I need an advice quickly and the modern section isn't viewed by so many.

How much do you think is a display like this worth?

Btw: Part of the lightsaber is held by sellotape...

Somebody offered it for trade and I'm thinking about trading for some things that I'll upgrade soon or have been damaged in transit/etc.

To make things easier: Do items worth 90 pounds sound fair? Too much for it? Would this be a bargain?

Thanks for looking,
Dennis

I think that Half a pint of flat bitter & the crumbs out of the bottom of a packet of chicken flavour crisps would be a fair trade

In all honesty I will be shocked if any member here has a clue, but £90 worth of vintage goodness in trade sounds like your having you pants pulled down IMHO, I would take a fiver's worth of vintage goodies over this every day of the week/month or decade.

Sorry, but you know me & most ot the modern stuff - beauty & value are in the eye of the beholder Dennis, so the simple answer is what is it worth to YOU! - answer that question & you have the answer m8!, I sure home you have somewhere large enough to display the beast if you do get it.

I know.

I have had many of these of diffrent types.

Selling can be real hard.

First problem is- who has the room?

Second problem is- how are you going to get it to them?

I have seen these go for no more than £20. Trust me- ive sold loads of these.

I guess like all modern sw there is serious quantity out there. I imagine a lot of toy shop employees would think these have value. I would say £30 tops. I would pass it at a fiver tbh. If it was an early sw Lego display (5 years old+) I reckon it would be much more sort after. Coupled to the fact they did some fantastic and inventive displays I would imagine high prices.

Anyone bought a sw Lego display before? I know Burnsey got a quality acrylic job (that had been customised to display minifigure in dioramas)

I got 2 of the 1st SW Lego displays. I'll gonna give a call about the shelving on one soon Ed. Need some of your skills

Sounds good buddy! I look forward to hearing more!

I have just completed a job for a forum guy, but it isn't sw display related lol!
I'm around tomorrow afternoon buddy ;)

Conclusion: I offered 50 Euros (around 35 pounds (rough estimate)) and he accepted. I offered that before reading the last suggestions from you, else I would have offered less. But now I still have all my vintage stuff and picked up the display today, which is now stored at my parents until I have to room to display it.

Thanks for all your help. :)

Congrats mate.

I spent 1997-2002 chasing displays like this but apparent they are worthless unfortunately. They would be great for a star wars museum, but hey they look cool. 8)

Well it has Maul on it, and he is the best thing out of the prequels!
Fill it with your MOCs, paint the whole thing black and you have a very nice display ;)

I didn't take it personal, so no problem. ;) I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but I have no problem with saying that I actually like the new Vintage Collection or even the 30th Saga Collection. Will get a full run of both series later.

But of course vintage wins every time and there's still so much to get before I even think about completing a modern run.

This is a cracking iead & all black just leaving Maul & the SW logo I think it would look pretty dam good TBH, you could spray it, would not be that difficult.

I agree, it would rock to give it a vintage collection type of look. Will consider it when it's time to display it. (Will at least take 5 years from now tbh... ;))

missed opportunity  . i was a manager in somerfields way back when walkers were promoting the tazo's, and got loads of free merchandise, tee shirts, badges and cardboard displays etc.
i made a floor to ceiling display of crisps, built around a massive tv at the top, and had a new hope playing on loop.
it was ****ing awesome!!
soon got told to take it down when the area manager walked in...............no entertainments licence :?
