I have a rule when it come to watching my favorite films again. As a youth i would re-watch them regularly until the magic faded.
I settled on a solution - Rationing my viewing.
Only a few of my top films get this treatment, but for obvious reasons the greatest films ever made - (i'm sure we'll all agree on that statement, and if you don't i think you should talk to a professional about it) - have required some next level willpower. I rinsed the original trilogy back in the day and uniquely they never lost their magic. However, in time, Women, Graffiti, Music Production, Dancing and Work all conspired to curtail my obsession and for many years i didn't watch any of them.
Finally, one weekend i watched all three back to back for the first time, and it at the risk of going well over the top, it verged on the spiritual, lol.
So....the time has come, i've waited long enough, i have 6 films to gorge myself on. Star Wars marathon day is approaching. I'm 38 and looking forward to it as much as i did the year i knew i was getting the Millennium Falcon for Christmas all those years ago. (Yeah, maybe not quite that much, lol, you catch my drift though)
THE QUESTION IS!....Serious business now!....Prequels first, followed by the original trilogy, OR the order in which they were released?
