Today is my birthday and I got this! Didn't think that it deserved go in LNA thread  (both of the kids Denied eating the first half  before I got it)

Anyway it reminded me of a birthday party I went to around 1983ish. It was at a Wimpy  and was SW themed. Imagine that a cheeky bastard wanting MOC / MISB SW stuff!

He had a guy dressed up as Darth Vader (think of a bin liner, a belt and a cardboard mask and you're pretty close) and SW games such as lightsaber fighting with rolled up newspaper etc.

I also remember attending another one at a local church hall but it was even earlier and I must have only been about 5 or so.

Anyone got any great stories of parties?

Party at Wimpy - quality !

I always remember that the posh! kids used to have parties at McDonalds

Never fancied a bender, but was a fan the almost as euphemistic 'Brown Derby'. A SW party in Wimpy, very much living the dream! Somewhere I think there's a photo of a birthday cake which Mum had made and decorated with a couple of my figures... I seem to remember one rather oddly being Death Squad Comm? hmm. Could be mistaken but will post it up if I find it.

I have no idea what a bender in a bun is but it doesn't sound right. I thought all the wimpys has gone until I saw one in Edinburgh last year when I did the Edinburgh marathon.

We were always too poor to go to wimpys etc as a kid and it was a real highlight at the time. I can't remember what the cake was I'll have to ask him when I see him next
