I don't know if this guys crazy  or just has ultimate confidence in his own ability. I think he's border line crazy he has absolutely no room for error.
Hes depending on alot of things to go right on the day for him.
He's on the north face of the Eiger one of the hardest climbs in the world. He polishes it off in just under 3 hrs solo not roped in
Alot of climbers allow 1-2 hard climbing!
Weather he is crazy or not I admire his balls and fitness to do that.

He is a hero of mine.

He's done the Matterhorn at speed as well and just did a first accent on Annapurna I believe.

Legend.

He sure is guys I love reading about men like him who take on these challenges.
I would rate Steck in the same league as Messner, Bonatti and Fiennes for sheer determination and stamina and never give up attitude. Them men have great will power when that moment they realise "the cavalry isn't coming " they can still pull through.
I think only a couple of years ago Fiennes also climbed the north face!

You guys ever seen this before. The guys name is Dan osman and he died in 98 in Yosemite doing something called a controlled free fall jump, which I gather is similar to bungee jumping but with a normal rope rather than an elasticated one.

The video is insane though.

That is correct- a mate of mine took him up.

He has an hilarious story about it. If your coming to celebration, i'll tell you, as it would take ages to write.

That Dan Osman video is sick.

Yeah that is tragic you can see what happened on one of the other links

Check this picture out its not me! If you zoom in you can see a guy or girl crossing one of the ridges on Ben nevis. I was on another gully and took the picture looking across. I didnt see anyone at the time until i looked at the pictures later. I would love to have met that person and gave them the picture.
