I have these these 8 Snowtrooper variants, which have baffled me slightly. I've posted them here because I'd also like a few valuations as I've noticed some wild prices on Ebay, surprise surprise and am looking to raise some funds.

Figure 1 & 2 - Tri Logo/YPS Chipped/Removed Coo - Number 2 Coo Guide
Figure 3 - PBP Hard Torso - Number 3 Coo Guide
Figure 4 - Ghost/No Coo - Number 4 Coo Guide
Figure 5 & 6 - Ghost/No Coo on Boot- Number 7 Coo Guide
Figure 7 & 8 - Hong Kong Coo on Boot - Number 8 Coo Guide

My dilemma is that Figures 1 & 2 and 5 & 6 are different sculps despite the same coo. Clearly shown in the 3rd picture which features the two Tri Logo/YPS figures. Do variant collectors collect just the Coo or also variants within the Coo's.

I thought things were bad enough for variant collectors, but different sculpts with same coo opens up another bag of worms.

Any info on the figure origins or price help from the variant masters appreciated.

Cheers

I only recall one collector who was after 'all' the COO variants, including the different 'YPS' COO markings of which there are quite a few.

Without the correct capes though they're not worth a huge amount. Most are content with just one or two of the main variations of the hard torso trooper. I've seen the cape alone go for £30 and loose troopers like this for as little a £1.

I sold a mint loose complete YPS trooper with gun for £30 a couple of weeks ago. Although some on ebay have been fetching more.

What you've classed as COO's 1 to 4 are all what are now referred to as PBP/Euro figures as shown in Wolff's incomplete COO guide 3...

Incomplete them are worth much and I've picked them up from collectors figures for £2 a pop, complete and mint collectors exchange them between themselves for £30+, pair it with a black action force gun and you'll find pretty of dickheads on eBAY worth £180+ to waste on one

The PBP/Euro on the far right looks the best of the bunch with no yellowing so incomplete maybe a tenner??

At the end of the day people like imperials for army builders, the rifles for these are cheap as chips so maybe you'll get £3-5 each for the good ones.

I was waiting for you to chip in Walkie. :D

Thanks for the info both. I'm under no delusions that they are worth a lot. I saw the YPS sell for £180 and some others were way above which made me think that some may have risen in price, but I suppose I should have known to ignore Ebay as any reference for prices.

The hard torso is in nice condition and perfect colour wise, but has loose limbs and sounds like a rattled tic tac box. I must say though it's the only one that has the PBP smell like the white face Han Solo and AT AT Commander figure.

I presume the circular holes skirt belongs to the PBP/YPS figures. I'd love to complete the Hard Torso figure with the skirt and the action force gun, but not at those silly ebay prices.

Any there that are missing from your lot, Walkie?

I think I just need a COO#1 on wolff's old chart.

The Euro/PBP are common as muck in the UK, I managed to bag a mint loose one with round holes cape for £10 only last Friday morning, I was well chuffed!!

Lucky you. I'll give you £11 for it. :D

I think I'll give Ebay another shot to see if i can snipe some bargains of my own.
