Hey guys, I thought I would share this day brightener with you all.

My dad works for a company that charter private jets for the rich and famous. Today I got a message from my dad saying that his company were chartering a jet for none other than George Lucas!!

He was to be picked up from Paris and flown to the UK. I said jokingly to him in my reply "Get us an autograph."

With this my dad spoke to someone in dispatch who contacted the co pilot on board. The co pilot then asked one of the cabin crew to get his autograph which he kindly obliged to. He wrote "Dear Steve (My Dad's name) May the Force be with you! George Lucas"

I was amazed. I know it doesnt say "Dear Chris" and its written on a scrappy piece of paper but I honestly dont care because I love the story so much. As soon as I meet up with my dad I will get it off him, post a pic on here and frame it.

On a sidenote, the pilots and crew all said what an incredibly nice man he is. Very humble and down to earth and very polite. A real gent apparently.

Thanks everyone! I have now attached a pic on page one. I have had to blank out areas of the page as he signed the Passenger Manifest for the flight and it contained other passengers names and passport numbers!

I missed meeting the man by a few minutes at a Hotel I worked at back in 94. I was bummed cause I wanted to "thank" him for Star Wars (mind you, it was before the prequels...) and all that and I could have got his room # but as a person with some decency, I didn't push it.
