Shop that buys vintage collection?

I'm new here so don't be too harsh...basically i've got a large collection of figures and ships that i was thinking about selling.of the vintage ones the figures are all loose but the ships i have the boxes for still.anyway i was wondering if anyone knew of any shops that would consider buying it? i also have lots of boxed and opened(play with lol) more modern figures but i know they're basically worthless... so i'll probably stick the new stuff on ebay.cheers

you have a good point there...i live in the midlands but my parents are in kent and my girlfriend is in manchester.so i've got a decent amount of england covered ha.i may end up putting them on ebay but i'd prefer a shop for some reason.

You might struggle to offload them to a shop as very simply there aren't many left that buy/sell vintage star wars stock. I can think of one in Leicester who I know trades in SW vintage but that is the only one I know.

There will be others but to be honest you'd probably get a better return from selling on the forums. Buyers would be willing to pay for the postage as long as it is reasonable :wink:

There is a wicked toy shop called 80s toyshop in cardiff. I kinda know the guy who owned it via another forum and have dealt with on old bmx stuff etc. He would be really interested and takes all sorts of vintage toys in especially star wars :wink:

ok brilliant thanks for the advice whats the shop in leicester called?is it:Leicester vintage & old toy shop? i'm gonna have to go through everyhting and write down what i have but once i have i'll either pop in there(its only about 30mins away from me) or post on here thanks people!

The toy shop in Leicester that I know of used to be called retrobuys and I think it still is (it did stop selling star wars/ other film merchandise a while back but then last year started selling figures again)

It's down a small shop alley opposite hmv
