Hi All, I am relatively new on here and have been lurking for a while. I'm only 24 so do not remember the first three films when they came out, however I remember my uncle some years ago giving me around 20 loose figures (luke farm boy, darth vader being two I can remember). Ever since I have caught the vintage SW collecting bug and have made quite a collection, slowly turning my room into a vintage star wars mecca!! when I started I never knew all the boxed vehicles, creatures and playsets would take up so much room!! I have also collected all the loose figures with admittedly not very many variations. I need to take a better picture of these as they are on a detolf cabinet tucked right around a dark corner in my bedroom!! I just haven't got enough space!

I hope to continue to collect and grow my collection and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do!

thanks
Sam

Really nice collection Sam, of boxed items, puts my collection to shame and I've been collecting for years, the trick is to play with them, I still take the x wing for a flight every now and then to attack the at-at, to the amusement of my daughters

haha :) thanks for the views and praise! I play with the at-at and x wing now and again, but its the ticking them off of the massive list that's the buzy for me! Only a handful of playsets and vehicles to go!!

Great collection. You have some really nice pieces there and it's always good to see a good collection on display, rather than tucked away in storage. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the interest!

Yes was trying to work out how best to display it all, as it's quite large! got the shelving units from IKEA, got the DETOLF first for my loose collection and strangely thought that I could fit a few boxed vehicles in there as well!! ...... well all I can say is that it hardly fits my loose collection in there!

I then bought some IVAR shelving units a double/wide one, and a narrower/ taller one to fit all the boxes onto.

I'm not too bothered at the moment on condition of the boxes, a few are quite battered ie. the rebel transport, death star and imperial shuttle! I will more than probably update in the future to possibly MIB collection (if and when I have the FUNDS!!)

I might have to buy another section yet as I have 8 more to collect in the run, which leads me quite nicely to my WTB list!! any help with this appreciated, as said no crisp conditions a major requirement, but displayable preferable :) :

Vehicles:
Radio controlled jawa sandcrawler
Imperial cruiser (Sears Exclusive)
Droids side gunner (just missed one on Ebay not long ago! AHHHH) FOUND

Playsets:
Cantina Adventure set (Sears Exclusive)
Cloud City playset FOUND
Hoth Ice Planet

Other:
Ewok combat set (trilogo)
Hoth Rescue (trilogo)

You should use this as a feature, a stray blast bolt from the Turret's laser

yes was thinking of using the peeling paint as a dramatic back drop! just got to be careful that this damp doesn't ruin any boxes!!

Looking great sam, beautiful collection. I would love to have that sonic controlled landspeeder, one of the last boxes that I am missing :D

Love boxed vehicles, Sam, and your collection is looking epic. The thing that stops me going crazy on them is what you've mentioned: space. They represent awesome value for money compared with MOCs but and I'm certain that's down to their size. After all, who wouldn't want a mint in mint boxed AT-ST for less than the price of a carded Leia Poncho or Han Trench Cost? Or even 8D8?? No offence, Joe ;)
