I am looking to buy a full set (if possible) of Palitoy 12 backs MOC, I have a good reserve set aside for this, but thought that instead of buying individual figures it may be beneficial to any prospective seller to sell in full.

If anyone is thinking of selling their collection let me know and hopefully we can sort out a deal, or alternatively if anyone knows of someone who may be looking to sell just let me know.

Cheers

Hi there, thanks for getting back with a comment, I know what you are saying, but I would be willing to pay that for an ungraded set so long as they were in excellent condition, do you know anyone who may be looking to sell.

Jimmy

At the mo no, but will keep my ear to the ground!
At least you know what you're poss going to have to pay, so being serious you should have a good chance when a set becomes available!

Good luck.

Thanks for that, I would probably go a bit higher as well if the right set came up, i.e 20 backs included as well, £25-28k, but like you said thats what would be needed.

Thankyou for you're help

Well there is a set for sale in the for sales section now.

Lots of talk about this set, read all the posts both on here and RS and make your own mind up on whether you want to purchase them. :|

Is it me or just rather coincidental that a new user comes asking after a full set of 12 back mocs only for them to then be listed :?

I may be wrong and will hold my hands up if so but this scenario almost gtee's a bidding war should someone else come forward and thus drive up the price ...... or as its known on ebay shill bidding....

Just a thought after all the furore :?

At least it's not just me with a suspicious mind! Could be a coincidence but what are the chances if it. And where's the fun in buying a full set? Surely it's better to pick them off one at a time.

I like your thinking Lee.... like bullseyeing womprats!

Lol Chris

Maybe it's just me, but where's the sense of satisfaction in looking at a set of 12 backs that you've bought all at once. Surely it's a better feeling to have collected them yourself over a couple of years? Hopefully ill know one day!
And where the hell is this £25k figure coming from? Absolutely ridiculous. I think the chewy was a bit of a one off auction, and I got offered a Luke for a lot less than half the price chewy sold for.

Lol. Your absolutely right Lee. The thrill is always in the hunt with these things.

As for the price, I commented on this on the other thread as I just dont see the prices stacking up. I would have thought this set could be done on 15k roughly, maybe a but more. Not 20k. I think using the recent chewie sale as a norm is a little optimistic to be fair. I have asked for a break down figure by figure if how 20-25k can be reached on another thread on here but with all the furore it has been locked.

I don't know how they came up with the price either. I've got 6 of the 12, all in c8 to c9 condition so ill base these prices on what I paid, and the rest on what I've seen for sale but been too skint to get!

Stormtrooper c9 - £485
Vader c8.5 - £450
Sand Person c8 - £250
C3P0 c8.5 -£350
Leia c9 - £900
Han (small head) c8 -£800

These next 4 have been available at these prices.

Jawa c8.5 - £600
R2D2 c8 - £450
DSC c8.5 - £550
Obi Wan c8.5 - £900

I've been offered a c8 Luke but the guy wanted £2350 which I didn't have kicking around at the time!

That adds up to just over 8k for 11 of the first 12. Even if you paid 5.6k for chewy that still only makes it just over £13500.
Some of the prices may be a little off but I still don't get where these 25k+ amounts are coming from. I'd have thought that if you were buying all 12 at once, you might have been able to get some sort of deal!!!!!
For the amount that's being talked about, I'd want all 12, plus large head Han, a vc Jawa, probably the next 8 on 20 backs and lots of change!
