With you on that one, although with Liverpool seemingly losing Alonso AND mascharano next season maybe a bit of anti climax for me. And United with out Ronaldo won't be the same force they were either.

Tevez would still be at United if they hadn't spent (ie wasted) £30 million on that retard Berbatov. Once he arrived Tevez knew his days were numbered, plus he got pissed at United not offering him a contract before his current one ran out. I don't think he was worth the £20 million they were being quoted anyway so....

I don't think City's owners are worried about instant success, if they were they would have bought a club already in the CL. It'll be a different story if/when they qualify for the CL, as then the mega wages they can offer will attract the top players and there won't be the draw back of no CL (or European) football.
