Hi there,

I picked these two up last night and they are both clean rotten and need a real good clean.

I initially wanted to take them apart and completely submerge them in the water but Im worried about the Falcons stickers.

Has anyone been able to remove all stickers safely without tearing them? - just before I start into it and ruin them!

Also what did you use to re apply them?

Thanks
Gary

Thanks for the reply!

Tried this and it worked for 4 stickers and even though they came off nice and easy it took the colour away from the sticker so they're pretty bad looking now.

I've tried to ever so slightly dampen one and it didnt work either, so I fear I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and get it into the sink, I'll just avoid washing directly over the stickers as much as possible so as not to ruin any more.

Maybe sometime, somewhere a set of originals will appear!!

I once cleaned a really dirty Millennium Falcon with baby shampoo and a baby tooth brush. It took a while but it gave great satisfaction when it was done.

Well Ive got everything off near enough intact but unfortunately most of, or a lot of the backing for each sticker stayed on the Falcon.

So Ive been left with what is basically just the print - the thinest piece of paper!

I'll decide whether to put them on as they are or just keep it bare once I get the rest finished and hope in the meantime to come across something better!

Great fun though!!

I thought they looked ok in that photo! Good on ya for trying to restore though and look forward to seeing them when finished.

The stickers werent too bad no, however the Falcon itself was disgusting and I really needed to get it into the sink to give it a good scrub.

Made the decision to try and take them off to clean it so have to run with it now.

I'll update when Ive it finished!

Thanks!
