Royal Mail Raise International Postage Prices

The thieving greedy bastards at Royal Mail are at it again. International postage is now to rise astronomically to, ass they put it (this is funny) "get in line with other european counties postal services". They actually use that as some kind of boast. To get in line with massively overcharging and incompetent postal services from counties like Italy, Germany Spain and so on. Yeah, well done.

So letters are going up (most of my business relies on this and will be massively damaged by their new prices). The only thing that can now be sent as a letter overseas has to be a tiny little postcard sized letter, about 10cm wide. Anything else is now considered a parcel. So, for example, last week to send an A4 sheet of paper to Germany in a large envelope was 88p. It is now £3.

Other international costs are rising too so go to the greedy bastard website and check through if you tend to post a lot of stuff overseas.

This is all we ****in need! Think my dads coin sales may be affected by this as we sell a good 75 of his sales overseas

I notice that MyHermes have reduced their base UK price to £2.78, aggressively going for Royal Mail. Certainly where I live there are a load of places that take their parcels. So far in the 100 odd times I've used them, they have delivered for me.

Someone needs to tap into the international / europe mainland postage market.

That's interesting. Good for them. Royal Mail tried to increase the price of their UK parcels to disastrous effect. Everyone just jumped ship and started using couriers. They did a massive u-turn after only a few months.
That's why they're now going after international letters and small parcels, cos they know they have the monopoly and there's nowhere else for us to go. Cunts.

That's why they're now going after international letters and small particles, cos they know they have the monopoly and there's nowhere else for us to go. Cunts.

that was some uturn allright , they have realized now that we wont be ripped off when using uk wide shipping so now they are ripping us off on the international shipping

i will try myhermes and if anybody else has other good international shipping firms let me know !

People will stop using them and turn to couriers. Then they will change back, just like they did with the stupid box size rules.

UPS will post parcels under 1k for less than a £1 within the UK so long as the buyer will pick up from a UPS drop off station which are common UK wide. Not much use for Ebay, but between SWFUK users, it could keep costs down.

I live less than a mile away from one and would be more than happy to use this method for buying and selling on here.

Yeah but they've gone after international postage here. I don't know of any courier that posts worldwide for less than £3 even a small envelope. They know that and that's why they're hitting that area. Their parcel service is now cheaper than most couriers. They backtracked massively on that.
