Rob's small (but growing) collection

Well, I've been collecting again since I joined the forum in May, and thought it was time to get some photos of my collection so far.

This is I believe the only SW related childhood photo of me. Christmas Day 1978 I think which means I just turned 7. On the Death Star you can just make out Greedo and Luke X Wing, and the box poking out at the side of my mother's 70s couch :lol:

Fast forward to 2013, and the only original childhood items I have (apart from my ROTJ Panini sticker album) are these figures here, which I will always keep. 7 of the first 12 (Leia got lost a few years ago, I blame my ex-wife) and 6 out of the next 8 including a rather shabbily glued Death Star Droid...

Childhood picture makes it really special. I love the boxed vehicles and Death Star playlet. Cool set of loosies on top too.

You must really like your music to have the couch set up in front of the hifi and floor standing speakers 8)

Great collection and thanks for showing the COO's, it's all good for my research on this subject . You also did well keeping hold of some original figures for your childhood. Mine all sold for a fiver in a ESB box that used to have chewy sweets in from 1980 ( I'd be happy to still have the box let alone the VCJ that was in there ).

I have very little from back in the day although I'll put a limelight of it all up one day. It's funny to see the Jedi sticker album though as I also still have my complete one, much better than collecting football ones in my opinion.

Great stuff, Rob- nice to see you're all set up after the house move. Smashing to see the childhood photo, absolutely priceless... and I love the sneaky peek of the Death Star box just behind the couch- you can just make out the Palitoy logo 8)

Speaking of which, the Palitoy canvas looks suitably at home, flanked by your childhood collection of loosies and later additions :wink:

Keep up the good work, pal- always a treat to see vintage goodness with that nostalgic white, red and blue logo

I do love the Palitoy logo that Martin made as well (I was really lucky to win that and I'm pretty proud of it), sets the loose figures off nicely.

Yes... :? Don't know why, but I'm having a hard time finding them. I just love the power droid card back, just really pretty colors..
