I was lucky enough to meet him at one of the Walt Disney World Star Wars weekends. He came across as an open, friendly, down-to-earth bloke. About 30 years ago he lived in the town where I live now, and my wife used to see him regularly in the bank where she worked and she said there were no airs or graces about him.
