RIP Mira Furlan

It is with enormous sadness that I must pass on the tragic news of the death of 'Babylon 5' and 'Lost' actress Mira Furlan. She was 65.

A hugely talented actress, singer and performer, Mira made the role of Delenn on Babylon 5 her own, and was one of the many reasons that show remains my favourite piece of television to this day.

B5 has lost far, far too many of its cast members far too young, and this one really hurts.

Rest in peace Mira.

Sad to hear, I still think B5 is one of the best series made. The special effects look crap now, but the plot and the depth of it, still stand up.

That series was jinxed though. 25 yrs old and virtually none of the cast are still alive.

Sinclair, G’kar, Zach, Garibaldi, Vir, Doc/Stephen and now Delenn.

Dang this makes me feel old, sad to read, loved her in both those roles, maybe time to dust off my bab5 collection & revisit it, keep threatening my lad with it, was a cracking show way ahead of it's time.
