RIP JOHAN CRUYFF

Never seen him play but my father always speaks of him. Will take a look 2 nite on YouTube.
RIP.

Top player and coach. Some of his thoughts and quotes on the game are also great:

"I find it terrible when talents are rejected based on computer stats. Based on the criteria at Ajax now I would have been rejected. When I was 15, I couldn't kick a ball 15 meters with my left and maybe 20 with my right. My qualities technique and vision, are not detectable by a computer."

"Choose the best player for every position, and you'll end up not with a strong XI, but with 11 strong 1's."

"Someone who has juggled the ball in the air during a game, after which four defenders of the opponent get the time to run back, that's the player people think is great. I say he has to go to a circus."

Really gutted about this, he is a hero of mine. My uncle bought me the 1974 world cup video when I was a kid, and as so few live games were on TV back then this was the only football I watched for many years. As you may know Holland got to the final that year so Cruyff was heavily featured in the video, he was one of the first footballers I could name. This was the video:

RIP Johan.

One of the best ever, and invented the most famous trick/skill in Football.
