Only a fortnight or so ago I sat and watched two episodes of Minder (with a Sweeney in between) on something like ITV4, amazing how many young (now) stars were the extras and bit parts along side this great chap; sad to see him go... reminded me of watching it with my Grandfather
I have to admit to not even knowing he was still alive. He's one of those British legends of TV, the likes of David Jason and Edward Woodward come to mind as being on a similar rung. Minder was, and still is, one of my all time favourite shows. I don't really watch much TV drama but Minder (early series only) grips me every time and it's because George Cole plays Arfa! so well. He makes it for sure.
