As the title says, what do you think is the right price?

I know they are rare and loads of people seem to need them for a-wing pilots and imperial gunners but they seem to go for more than the figures!!

Fair enough, I thought £30 was a bit steep and £40 was a rip off but if thats the going rate! Seems any solid black blasters command a premium at the moment

They seem to fetch 30-40 at the mo... it can work out pretty much the same as picking up another complete figure and selling one of them minus gun.
That said, I picked one up recently at a bargain price as it had been paired up with the incorrect figure - so patience and luck pays off - although sometimes I have neither  the black endor blaster isnt really that exciting so i'd try to wait until the price is right if you can... Now the gun I'm having difficulty with getting hols of is the black solid luke stormie blaster ...

They are tough ones to pick up, I missed out on one a few months ago that was badly listed. I started chatting with the bloke while it had no bids and helped him to identify it as solid black and not repro then I made a BIN offer (a fair bit higher than the start price) which he turned down.

Anyway I then placed a bid at the same level as my BIN offer and he immediately shill bid me up to my BIN price the cheeky git. Someone outbid me at the last minute and got it for £35 in the end which at the time I thought was a bit steep....

This is how I got mine many years ago before all of the repro information was available and well know (about 2003)the TIG site didn't exsist then.I saw an at-st driver with what appeared to be the black blaster but I had to ask the seller a few questions about the mouldings and colour to confirm it was a last 17 weapon before pulling the trigger(pun intented).Lucky it was and £5 later I had it.I think i had to go through about 5 or 6 potential one before i found a correct gen one.

What with all the repro knowledge and weapon guides all over the net now.I would think this way of getting it is less likely now,but not impossible and still doable.small lots of figures or collections especially from people having a clear out of old toys sometimes have them amongst them.

I often double take on leia poncho and at-st drivers figures just to check if they have the black blaster misplaced with em.

Good luck hunting that is half the fun.

A few years ago I bought an Endor Leia with a black gun in her holster, so my imperial gunner is sorted. My A-wing pilot has a green blaster until such days as I get a black one in a lot and sell the rest to pay for it. I'll work for one!

...or you can by an atst driver off AndyGo at farthest from for the going rate and then find he deliberately paired it with a black blaster instead of the blue.
What a lovely man he is!

That's very kind of you sir, I will keep em peeled for a Luke stormie blaster in return!

All good advice from you chaps, I will keep checking the leia and atst driver listings just in case!

It's worth keeping your eyes peeled. I found one of mine paired with an AT-ST driver in a local collectiables shop for £7 about 18 months ago. Miracles do happen!!

Unbelievable price, can't believe how much weapons are now!

Stopped collecting loose stuff in 2009, the price increase is mental.

maybe moc prices have put off new collectors going that route... The last few loose sales on here show how sought after it is in good condition and priced fairly.
