I can't believe that its someone with a 'reputation' that has done this (Todd DeMartino). I'd expect it off a scammer but this guy has just written a reference book :shock: Could you actually believe what's written in it if this is what he's doing? :?

Too bad this happened, I would love to have one of those box flats and in my opinion He has ruined it. This is very misleading as someone will think this is one of those kenner mock-up pieces and hardly worth what he is asking. As far as his book being legit now...Who knows....I would not have bought it anyways :wink:

The kenner ex employee sold them to him for $200 or 300s each so the price was inflated 10 times.

The book has been delayed now to include a chapter on how to take the piss out of your ex-Kenner employee contacts, how to set up prototype scams on ebay and how to damage box flats :?

I was going to buy the book but will definetly not be bothering now.

Reputation or no reputation why is it that so many of these ****ing twats that are leaving the hobby just can't go without creating some kind of drama - normally centred around dodgy ebay auctions. Do these people feel the hobby owes them something? I just don't understand

It looks like both listings have now been updated to reflect what is actually for sale. I wish Todd D would explain exactly what happened. The part I find ridiculous is that Tom N tried to contact him to have the listings revised several weeks ago and it was not until now when he was outed that the listing was changed. It really does bring up some questions of validity of the information that will be in the new book. I have been looking forward to this book for some time now just for the information on two-packs and multipacks alone since they haven't really had comprehensive coverage before. As of right now I will still buy it when it is released, but I can understand the concerns about it. Any information that I would get from the book now I would want to verify myself before I took it as collecting gospel. I think Todd really shot himself in the foot on this.

Its a total scam by todd plain and simple but as usual his mates and the wanabies rally round on RS to protect him. Pathetic! and shame on the wanabies where is there integrity? Todd wouldnt give them the time of day thats for sure!

Did you notice how Todd has avoided posting to explain his actions. Its this type of **** that is putting me off the hobby
