This lot looks awesome:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Vintage-lot-/221964999403?

But check the description for a number of the vehicles "all new decals applied".

The vehicles look like they're off the shelf, as do the stickers. I think someone has done an impressive cleaning job with peroxide then applied repro stickers. To be fair, I don't have a massive problem with that in it's own right, but to sell them without making it very clear it just wrong. And in a year's time, will the buyer sell them on without declaring the "restoration" at all? Or will the stickers look so crap you won't be able to hide it??

Sent the buyer a question regarding what had been done yesterday. No response as yet. Will update when (if) I hear back.

I get the feeling the R2 has a repro sticker as well and it looks like Darth's cape is ripped on one of the armholes. I really don't like the way the photos have been taken either as it looks to be hiding something.

Some clean ships for a young one to play with but I wouldn't bother if you're a collector.

New decals applied and the company name of this business seller...drum roll please.....Future Print & Design Limited

Home made me thinks.

1 million percent a repro sticker on R2, the rest look suspect aswell, they are setting themselves up for a claim, pointless.

I'm not sure he clearly states new decals, if your buying stuff on ebay these days you always read the description before bidding. He's not claiming it's all origional. Surely if you buy this thinking it's all origional then it's partly your fault.

That's true as far as some of the ships are concerned, but not the figures, best to disclose every little detail to cover yourself.

The price as it stands still seems like good value, wonder where it will end up.......

No, I agree he has the "new decals" mentioned in there but he absolutely does not mention the cleaning method used and, what speaks greater volumes to me is that he hasn't responded to my very polite query about replacement stickers and cleaning method. Not declaring a relevant fact is as bad as telling a lie, especially when asked directly.

That said at £200 I think they would make a super cool play lot for a younger fan
As they look like new :)

£468.03 that lot sold for.

I hope the seller is happy with himself. I also hope the buyer kicks off when he realises what he's got.
