We are all sick to the back teeth of repro shite, but it's not just SW of course.
I'm looking to start a smallish side collection of Bond stuff and its there also!

Classic 60s model cars with ****ing reproduction boxes - pain in the ass

I would guess easier to do than MOC's and probably been around longer.

I remember reading somewhere on a matchbox forum about some bloke selling of his collection and getting a shock. It wasn't full of repro boxes but resprayed cars. Poor git

Your probably right buddy. ****... that is such shame

It's making me think twice.

I remember seeing a TV prog where the guy had a very large (and expensive) autograph collection. It turned out 90% of them where fake. he had spent thousands :(

****, nothing is safe really :x aren't there any vintage James Bond forum's

There is mate - I had a quick look at a couple, it's just crazy mate, the artwork on th eboxes really attracts me more than the model really, and like your Bro said they are prob easier to re-create than MOCs :(

Hmm I wonder how Sid James would look as a special agent

They make repro boxes for vintage 60's, 70' Joes. Same for Captain action. The entire Mego line has repros of cardbacks, bubbles and boxes. The six million dollar man 12 inch line also has experienced repro boxes. The Corgi line has also had repro boxes. Nothing is sacred.

Yep, I wouldnt be surprised mate.

With all the media attention given to fakes and counterfeit items I'm surprised they get away with selling repro items :?

Can you imagine the following:

Genuine reproduction addidas trainers - professional standard, just like the real thing!!!

Cut 'n' shut Matchbox cars. Nothing is sacred

It doesnt look like anything is now mate  There seems to be more repro involved in Corgi and Matchbox that SW - very sad, its making me thuink twice about buying some :?

I'm pleased I hung onto the one boxed Corgi I have... number 285, Mercedes Benz 240D to be exact. Made in Great Britain 1974. The box is a bit tatty but who cares, it's real :) . I still remember my dad giving it to me.
