Remember these? Thread for obscure childhood toy memories

Hi Josh many thanks the discussion has begun :) Its a great line of toys i only knew one kid who had these and that was because he went on holiday to the states and brought them back, I always loved the cartoon and the Ringwraith and Gandalf figures were the mutts nuts but the price is eyewatering.

What did you do with your World Cup sticker books you had when you were a kid??

This was an awesome auction that came up this week. (ie; same person selling). He had some amazing stuff in top condition. I bid on a few items but was nowhere near.

Bloody hell thats some serious coin there for those. Never interested me at all had the Jedi, DangerMouse, Dinosaurs albums. Never got close to completing any of the sticker albums. Always had the kids at school who had piles of them & a bunch of swaps as thick as a housebrick.

That's my favourite cos it's the only one of the WC albums i collected as a kid.
I'm lucky enough to own and unused one.

I had the Argentina one & a football 78 (red cover) both full & gave them both away a few years back, never even considered they may be worth something - D'oH

Remember these? - sorry I have been lazy, I was going to make some other shapes for the photo, but am dog tired, will try & do some when I get a mo, was school champ at doing the ball (13 seconds) my only claim to fame  I always loved the snake as it was the only rubics toy that did not mess with your head.

me too. i remember spending ages trying to draw pique  (and the italia 90 stick man!

is there much a market for partly completed albums, and bulk loose sticker collections from the early/mid 2000's?

Partly completed albums have the least value. Anything pre 80s will still be worth big bucks. But anything 96 onwards with "some" stickers in is usually not worth much. They're not worthless. A lot would depend how full or empty it is and the condition. If it's almost full i've seen them go for decent money. Anything up to Euro 2000 will fetch decent money. Everything after is still relatively cheap. Empty-full whatever.
A complete Argentina album like Frank had could easily fetch 200-300.
I have empty/unused Mexico 86, USA 94, France 98, Euro 2000 (for some reason one of the more expensive albums. Has nearly as much value as World Cup 86) & Germany 2006. I missed out on a France 84 album today which went for £62. Would love one of those and a Spain 92 and Italia 90. (unused).

Me and my brother swapped a Pique Silver badge sticker to a younger kid down our road for a Bhane complete skateboard BITD. We were well chuffed with our board (we did sort of stitch him up & he was younger than us) His Mum found out about it and made us give the board back, and we got the ****ing sticker back....
