I've not been making any SW purchases for a while but...............

I've just returned this Princess Leia pencil case to its original owner after having it for 30+ years!

As a child I acquired various Star Wars goodies from family friends. We had some friends in London with an older child, space for storing toys must have been at a premium as i was given loads of his Star Wars stuff and a skateboard. I recently saw his mum at my mums house and thanked her for all the toys she had given me. I got her sons address and i've just posted his pencil case back to him, it even has his name and school class written on the inside.

I hope he likes it.

As a slightly older child I swapped my play people pirate ship for another friends entire star wars collection. Whenever I saw him as an adult he always told me I got the better end of the deal. I knew that as a child! Anyway for his 40th birthday I got our very own Iain to send him an x wing figther, he absolutely loved it and said it was his best ever present, partly because he always wanted an x wing as a child and never got one. At his party we started talking about our Star Wars toys and I realised that the knackered and very played with Millenium Falcon that I still had must have been his originally, so I've just returned it to his parents house. I found some old play people treasure and weapons & have told him we need to complete our childhood transaction - i just hope he still has some Star Wars weapons.

Luckily as an adult i've been given a far better Millenium Falcon, from another childhood friend who was trying to keep his wife sweet by getting rid of some of his bigger SW items. He knows i've got eyes on the rest of his impressive childhood collection!

Anyway I hope this little tale is of interest, but more importantly I hope the previous owners are happy to be reunited with their childhood SW items.

What a cracking story, and nice fella you are.
Don't forget about the boxed death star playset I swapped with you when we were 8

Oh yeah i remember that one well.

I ripped it out the box and played with it loads, fxxk knows what happened to it!

A great post. Awesome stuff, really cool of you to do that.
Good Karma is sure to follow you.

My recent rediscovery of some very old and much loved Star Wars toys was hands down the best day i've had with regards to collecting.
There is a small update to that tale as well, but now isn't the time for that :?:

Good for you! :D

Nice touch :)

Would love to be reunited with my own but like the characters in Toy Story they were passed on to some nursery and probably ended up being trapped and forced to serve the youngest kids by some big old teddy bear :(

Thanks for the replies.

I've got a few old childhood photos as well. I'll get them posted up when i get a chance.

What a nice thing to do :) That's what I like about SWFUK. There are some thoroughly decent blokes on here. Great bunch of people

Great story. I know where my collection went but they've told me the lot went to charity. I bet it didn't. They were the hoarding type.
